Welcome to the start of the Eastern Region Users Group (ERUG) website. We are excited about this new venture and look forward to expanding its use to meet the needs of all our members. Special thanks go to Global Works Systems for their work in getting this website started and serving as the host of the site. ERUG is a network of Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (AHS) clients using the Touchworks EHR product. The intention of the group is to collaborate and share ideas with one another with regard to implementation, education, configuration, and utilization of the product. Implementing an EHR can be an overwhelming and daunting task, as all parts of your organization will be impacted including: physicians, front office, back office, and ancillary departments. Having a forum to join forces and communicate will make the journey much easier. In addition, ERUG provides a unified influential voice with regards to enhancements and integration considerations for the Touchworks product. The group currently conducts monthly conference calls and meets annually at the Allscripts Users Conference in Chicago.
